Breast cancer survivor Mick Verhoogen has started a Rotary Club of Red Sea - El Gouna Pink Ribbon Committee to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of regular check-ups.
Working together with Gouna Technical Nursing Institute, Egypt, we will hold the first breast cancer awareness event on Friday 27th May at 3 pm at El Gouna Church Hall.
This first event will be aimed at the Arabic speaking women in the community of El Bustan, though all Arabic speaking women are welcome to attend.
Ms Heba Boshra from GTNI is an experienced Egyptian nursing faculty member who specializes in women and family focuses practice. She will give a 20 minute presentation followed by a question and answer session and the chance to learn how to do a breast self-exam using a simulated breast prostheses.
